It does happen from time to time, so don’t feel bad if your dance floor is empty! There’s a million reasons why people don’t dance, but here’s a few I’ve noticed over the years.
– The dance floor is too big. (Most) people don’t like being watched when busting a move.
– It’s too bright. Again, people don’t like being watched when busting a move.
– They haven’t seen each other in years. When you have relatives & friends coming from afar, they want to catch up with everyone.
– They’re not drunk enough. Once the liquid courage is flowing through them, the dance floor becomes a friend, not an enemy lol.
– It’s a small crowd. On average only 30% of your guests will dance. So if you only have 40 people in attendance, that’s 12 people who will dance and we’ll go back to people don’t like being watched when busting a move.
– They’re exhausted. If it’s an all day affair, people may have sore feet, or are mentally drained.
– It’s too hot. When people are dressed to impress, they tend to not like getting sweaty!
